# Tottenham fans use an interview with Lamela to convey anger at the board

“It’s important to sign more players” – A lot of Tottenham fans have used an interview with Erik Lamela to show their anger at the board.

With the [transfer deadline](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48965845) fast approaching – Tottenham are still [desperately looking](https://www.skysports.com/tottenham-hotspur-transfers) to add to their squad.

Moves for [Philippe Coutinho](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/08/06/philippe-coutinho-seeks-premier-league-return-asbarcelona-say/) and [Paulo Dybala](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/juventus-offerta-del-tottenham-per-dybala) are supposedly in the pipeline – and the links to [Bruno Fernandes](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9663332/spurs-man-utd-bruno-fernandes-sporting-transfer/) and [Giovani Lo Celso](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/transfer-news/spurs-giovani-lo-celso-eriksen-16435893) continue.

However, the truth is Tottenham have not signed any of these players.

This has caused [Mauricio Pochettino](https://talksport.com/football/580352/tottenham-news-mauricio-pochettino-transfers/) – and a lot of Spurs fans to [get frustrated](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9623414/spurs-fans-levyout-trending-pochettino-outburst-transfers-levy/) at the Tottenham board.

This [interview with Lamela](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/august/lamela-we-re-all-motivated-for-start-of-season/) has sparked a [savage response](https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial) from many Tottenham fans – and it is clear to see that their patience is running out.

See the best of the reaction below.

These Tottenham fans are telling the club to stop tweeting – until they announce a new signing. So far Spurs have only added [Tanguy Ndombele](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tottenham-hotspur/transfers/verein/148) to the senior squad.

Others are targeting Lamela – and demanding that he leave the club, though with [Heung Min Son](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/06/19/tottenham-son-heung-min-sorry-for-suspension/)banned for Saturday the Argentine is likely to [get a start](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/fixtures-results/spurs-aston-villa-team-news-16703479).
