# These Spurs fans are frustrated at long chase for Ryan Sessegnon

“You could have used that headline for the past 12-24 months” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming at how long it has taken their club to seal a [long-term](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/9303486/tottenham-ready-to-let-danny-rose-go-as-pochettino-wants-35m-ryan-sessegnon-as-his-replacement/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1560639959) Mauricio Pochettino target.

Ryan Sessegnon has had [constant links](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/08/15/tottenham-hotspur-have-25m-bid-fulham-prodigy-ryan-sessegnon/) to Spurs since he was 17 – and according to [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11778004/tottenham-in-ryan-sessegnon-talks-with-fulham), this week should see him finally [make the move](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11778004/tottenham-in-ryan-sessegnon-talks-with-fulham) to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham have, so far, only made [one senior signing](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tottenham-hotspur/transfers/verein/148) – and the addition of Sessegnon would boost their [left-hand side](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-sessegnon/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/392775).

The 19-year-old was [pretty poor](https://footballbh.net/2019/07/20/ryan-sessegnon-2018-19-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics/) for Fulham last year, but it is thought that under the [guidance of Pochettino](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/transfer-news/tottenham-ryan-sessegnon-spurs-fulham-16440028), he could become an excellent player.

For now, though, these Tottenham fans are just annoyed at how long it has taken them in their pursuit of Sessegnon.

See the best of the reaction below.

> All parties are believed to be hopeful a deal can be concluded for the 19-year-old before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

These Spurs fans are suggesting this chase has gone on for too long – and it implies they are sick of [how slowly](https://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/vertonghen-insists-spurs-players-unconcerned-over-slow-market-4291710) their club operates in the transfer market.

However, many Spurs fans are just pleased to add another player to the squad – and especially someone like Sessegnon, who has [so much potential](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/who-is-ryan-sessegnon-the-teenage-fulham-wonderkid-mimicking/1bfw45n2pz6gy1r1o3zgkeej4p).
