The likes of Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and more have impressed this season, as a youthful Spurs line-up has established itself in the upper echelons of the Premier League table.

‘We can always improve, and this is our philosophy. We can learn,’ he said. ‘After 19 games we are in a very good position and it’s up to us now to follow in the same direction.

‘This is our challenge, to keep the same performance or improve and to finish the league in a very good position. I’m very happy the way that we work, every day, and (the way) we play.

‘We are very young and we can improve and in football only we need time to develop our philosophy and our way.’

Harry Kane also echoed his manager’s views, saying:

‘We’re trying not to get ahead of ourselves’

‘We know what we need to do – keep working and try to get better.’

‘We’ve a great team, a young team playing with a lot of energy. We’re also confident and we know if we play well, the results will follow. We’ll see where that takes us.’
