# Match Report: Watford 1-2 Tottenham

Tottenham grabbed a late win against 10 man Watford, as Son came off the bench to score the winner in the last minute of normal time.

The first half started off quietly, with Dele Alli recieving a booking for a late challenge on former Spurs man Eteinne Capoue being the only talking point with the first 15 minutes. However, in the 19th minute Lamela raced onto the ball and through on goal and slotted past another former Spurs man in Heurehlo Gomes to give Spurs the lead at Vicarage Road,

However, Watford fought back and got themselves level just before half-time, when Ighalo turned Eric Dier and fired past Hugo Lloris to give Watford a deserved equalizer.

The second-half saw neither team create clear oppurtunities to take the lead, as they cancelled each other out. However, in the 63rd minute, Nathan Ake saw red for a dangerous tackle on Erik Lamela and it proved to be costly for Watford as Spurs grabbed a last minute winner when Son backheeled the ball through the legs of Gomes and secured Tottenham’s 3rd win in succession.
