# Match Report: Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Chelsea

A bore 0-0 draw saw Tottenham remain in 5th place in the Premier League, a result which also saw Pochettino’s side extend their unbeaten run in the league to 13 games, a new record for the club.

Tottenham, who lined up without the suspended Alli, failed to set into the energetic rythm they have played with in recent weeks, perhaps down to the fact that Alli was missing, with Mason unable to offer as much energy in midifled as he came in for the former MK Dons man.

The game also saw a number of Tottenham players make rash or late challenges, which is unusual for a side managed by Mauricio Pochettino. This was highlighted by Danny Rose lunging in on Eden Hazard was backed into the corner flag with no where to go.

The only chance of the first half fell to Son, who’s effort from Harry Kane’s maginifcent cross was saved excellently by Begovic in the Chelsea goal.

When the match resumed after half-time, Mason picked up an injury when turning to play the ball infield and had to be replaced. His replacement Erik Lamela was non-existant, seeming to revert back to his form of previous seasons rather than his impressive form of this season.

Hugo Lloris kept the scores level when he made a fantastic save to keep out Hazard, when the Belgian drilled a volley accross goal. Other than that, the game lacked chances for either side and the referee did everyone a favour when he blew the whistle for full-time.
