# Opposition Corner: Aston Villa

On Monday night, Tottenham take on Aston Villa on White Hart Lane, looking to extend their nine-match unbeaten run in the Premier League. Villa however are in turmoil, they have not won in the Premier League since an opening day victory against Bournemouth and they sacked ex-Spurs midfielder and manager Tim Sherwood after defeat to Swansea last Saturday.

Ahead of the game, we spoke to Matt Lynch of Read Aston Villa to get the lowdown on everything you need to know about Villa ahead of the game.

***It’s quite obvious results haven’t been good enough at Villa so far this season, but did Sherwood deserve to go?***

Yes 100%. He was failing in so many areas and he seemed to be letting it all get to him too much. The man looked in a real state. He was tactically more inept than Lambert.

***Where did it all go wrong for Sherwood, after he led you to survival and an FA Cup final last season?***

Tactics. He didn’t know what his best XI was and he was too quick to point the finger.

***Who do you want as the next Villa manager?***

Remi Garde. I was calling for him before he was linked.

***Your favourite game between Spurs and Villa?***

I loved beating you 1-0 away last season with Sherwood as manager. Really helped kick start our season.

**Who is going to be Villa’s main threat on Monday night?**

Nobody. At the moment I do not have a clue. Jordan Ayew works ridiculously hard. He is one to watch.

***In your opinion, who is going to be Tottenham’s biggest threat?***

Is Sun-Heung Ming fit? If so him. Very dangerous and I like him a lot. If not it has to be Eriksen.

***And finally your score prediction for the game?***

1-0 Villa. Confident.
