# Match Preview: Real Madrid vs Spurs

Mauricio Pochettino’s side wind-up their pre-season preparations this week as they travel to Germany to compete in the Audi Cup.

The Argentinian is expected to take a big squad to Munich for the two-day tournament, which will see his team face Real Madrid on Tuesday evening then either Bayern Munich or AC Milan on Wednesday.

Harry Kane will continue to build-up his fitness after making his first appearence of the summer in Thursday morning’s defeat against the MLS All-Stars, whilst Erik Lamela could be set for his first match of pre-season following participation in the Copa America.

Pochettino is likely to use his most valued players sparingly, however, with less than 72 hours separating Wednesday’s fixture with Tottenham’s Premier League curtain raiser against Manchester United at Saturday lunchtime.

Real Madrid will have no such worries with their La Liga season kicking-off on August 23 and Rafa Benitez is likely to call upon his stars for Tuesday’s fixture.

Former Spurs favourites Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are two that will definitly feature, but there will be no Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema after the duo picked up knocks in training.

The former two were lining up against Madrid in the only two previous meetings between the sides four years ago, in which the Spaniards ran-out 5-0 winners on aggregate.

Los Galacticos have enjoyed an unbeaten pre-season so far, drawing with Roma and AC Milan, and beating Manchester City and Inter Milan.
