# Yarmolenko confirms Spurs talks

Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko has confirmed he has held talks with Tottenham over a potential transfer.

[According to The Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2015/07/31/tottenham-make-transfer-bid-to-assist-king-andriy-yarmolenko-5321521/), Mauricio Pochettino has made a £10.6m offer for the Dynamo Kiev winger, and the player has revealed discussions are ongoing.

The 25-year-old was rumoured to be close to signing for Premier League rivals Stoke City but former Spurs player and current Kiev manager Serhiy Rebrov is said to have urged Yarmolenko away from a move to The Britannia Stadium.

White Hart Lane now looks a possible destination for Yarmolenko, and the player hasn’t shyed away from speculation surronding a potential move.

He told Ukranian website Match Day, “Discussions are ongoing, I do not know lets see what happens.”

“I have a contract which Dynamo Kiev which I practise in good faith,” he said.

Yarmolenko has been at the club since 2007 and won the Ukranian Premier League Player of the Season award last season.

He scored 13 goals and contributed 14 assists in 26 appearances as Serhiy Rebrov’s team won the league unbeaten and reached the Quarter-Finals of the Europa League.
