When Harry Kane first burst onto the scene, a lot of football had him pegged as a one-season wonder. Two Premier League Golden Boot wins later, it’s clear that the Tottenham striker is the real deal and, as look would have it, Real are hoping to do a deal to sign him!
European champions Real Madrid are, according to reports in Spain, lining up a €200m (£177m) bid for the 24-year-old, and it’s clear to see why.
After his usual August slump, Kane was in fantastic goalscoring form for Tottenham in September and he’ll be looking to continue that when he plays for England this week.
Spurs would obviously be very reluctant to let their talisman go having recently signed him to a new contract but a £177m bid could test the resolve of the powers-that-be at the club.
Kane himself is clearly committed to the Tottenham cause but if Madrid do come in for him, Spurs will be hoping that his head does not get turned.
