Spurs face Bournemouth on Sunday at White Hart Lane, hoping to secure back to back wins in the league and ensure that their title push remains on track.

The reverse fixture between the two sides occurred in October, when a Harry Kane hat-trick meant that Spurs triumphed 5-1 at the Vitality Stadium.

Due to Europa League commitments, Spurs are playing a day after title rivals Leicester City and therefore, could conceivably be eight points behind before they kick-off at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The team news for Mauricio Pochettino’s side is that Eric Dier is set to undergo a fitness test ahead of the game, after he picked up a knock during the defeat to Dortmund on Thursday night. However, the good news for Spurs is that Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Christian Eriksen, Mousa Dembele and Harry Kane are all expected to return to the starting XI to take on the Cherries.

Despite struggling in the first half of the season, Bournemouth have recently put together a fantastic run of results which has seen them pull away from the relegation battle. Since the turn of the year, Bournemouth have only lost three league games as Eddie Howe’s side finally got into their stride.

The team news for the visitors is that Harry Arter is a doubt due to an Achilles problem, whilst Junior Stanislas misses the trip to North London as he is still ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

If Leicester beat Crystal Palace, nothing but a win for Spurs will do in what is a critical weekend for Tottenham’s title ambitions.
