Following Wednesday’s victorious visit to Leicester, Spurs now head to out-of-sorts London rivals Crystal Palace, looking to continue their good league form on the march to Champions League football.
The Eagles sit eighth in the table but have experienced a recent slump, failing to score in their past five games and struggling without an established goal scorer leading their attack.
In addition to this, the South Londoners will be without danger man, Yannick Bolasie whose comeback from injury was hampered earlier this week, when the winger was unfortunately involved in a car crash.
However, Palace still have some talented players and the Spurs defensive unit must be on top form in order for the Lilywhites to take anything from Selhurst Park.
Take a look at our predicted XI:
GK: Hugo Lloris (c)
The club captain will resume his regular starting role in the league after deputising for Michel Vorm in the cup and will be looking to keep his first clean sheet of 2016 on Saturday.
RB: Kyle Walker
The England international is set to keep his place in the starting XI after a tricky midweek challenge against skilful Leicester winger Demarai Grey, in which he dealt well with the precocious talent.
CB: Toby Alderweireld
After a rare midweek break, Alderweireld will certainly start against Palace, looking to continue his excellent form which has made him one of the signings of the season.
CB: Jan Vertonghen
Alderweireld’s Belgien counterpart will also return after being rested for the cup clash with Leicester and will be hoping the pair can maintain their brilliant partnership.
LB: Danny Rose
Pochettino’s rotation of Rose and Davies has made the left back position a difficult one to call so far this season. However on balance Rose seems to be just ahead of the Welshman in the pecking order so it is expected that the former Leeds academy graduate will return for Saturday’s game.
DM: Eric Dier
After slotting into his original centre-half position during mid-week, Dier will move forwards to his now customary holding midfield role where he has been so successful this season.
DM: Mousa Dembele
After making a goalscoring return to the team in last week’s home win to Sunderland, the Belgian will retain his starting birth where his physicality and technique could be pivotal against an athletic Crystal Palace midfield.
RM: Erik Lamela
The Argentine has been a mainstay in the Spurs side in recent weeks and his tenacious work-rate has shown no signs of let-up despite the frequency of his appearances.
AM: Dele Alli
Following the impressive display of Heung Min Son in midweek, Alli’s place may come under threat on Saturday. However, given the mark the youngster has made on the first team this season, he is likely to retain his place.
LM: Christian Eriksen
The Dane has been revitalised in recent weeks following criticism for his displays which has seen the 23 year-old hit three goals in his last four appearances. Eriksen will be hoping to continue this form when he starts on Saturday but will come up again a stern Palace defence.
ST: Harry Kane
No surprises here, as the only established forward at the club, Kane is almost a shoe-in for any game of importance and will be looking to continue his excellent goal-scoring form in London derbies.
