Tottenham are interested in signing Laurent Depoitre from Gent, according to Simon Jones of The Mail.
The 26-year-old Belgian recently made his debut for his country and celebrated his first cap by getting the final goal in the 4-1 victory over Andorra.
According to Jones, Spurs have sent scouts to watch Depoitre on numerous occasions and had a scout in attendance to watch Gent’s Champions League tie with Valencia on Wednesday evening.

The Belgian has scored six goals in 14 league appearances for Gent this season and has also been credited with two assists.
The 6’3″ forward has also played in all four of Gent’s Champions League ties this season, but has failed to get on the scoresheet in any of the games.
Spurs failed to sign a striker in the summer, despite making numerous bids for West Brom’s Saido Berahino, so it makes sense that they’d be interested in recruiting a forward in January.
